Our Rooms

Our Village Hall offers two rooms.

The Chanctonbury Room

Our largest room with disabled access, a stage, kitchen with serving hatch, toilets, including a disabled toilet and ambient lighting.

The room is suitable for functions, wedding receptions, birthday parties, large meetings, sports etc.
The floor is a multi-use composite floor.
The room has a sound system and stage lighting.

The Dore Room

Customer’s Equipment

The Premises is provided to the Hirer on the condition that it is used entirely at the Hirer’s own risk. The Owner does not accept liability or responsibility for accidents or injuries to, or illness or death of, the occupants and visitors and or loss or damage to their property and belongings however caused.
Equipment not belonging to the village hall will require agreement prior to use.
The use of a bouncy castle is permitted with certain constraints; it must fit below the roof eaves, it is positioned as directed and specifically does not block a fire exit. The Hirer will need to be fully insured against any injury to people and the building. if you wish to have a bouncy castle in the hall, please call/email to discuss.

Licensing

The opening hours of the Village Hall are everyday 00.00 – 00.00.

The Village Hall is licensed for the following activities everyday 10.00 – 23.45:

  • the exhibition of a film
  • a performance of live music music
  • any playing of recorded music
  • the sale by retail of alcohol, except Good Friday and Christmas Day.  See Provision of Alcohol

Parking

20 spaces adjacent to the Village Hall, including a reserved space for disabled parking, and additional roadside parking.

Use of Parish Council Facilities

Combined with any booking of the Village Hall we can offer, with the approval of Washington Parish Council:

  • the hire of the adjacent recreation ground for the use of, for example, a marquee, bbq etc.
  • the hire of a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) for basketball, football etc.
